The commentary accused the south Korean and U.S. military authorities of releasing a joint statement at an annual security consultative meeting in Seoul on Nov. 2.

The meeting discussed the issues of boosting military strategy for offensive against the north such as "4D operation conception" and tightening military cooperation among south Korea, the U.S. and Japan while shelving such serious issue as the case of introduction of anthrax, it noted, adding:

This is designed to escalate the military tension on the Korean Peninsula.

"4D operation conception" is a dangerous war scenario for sparking not only accidental military clash but all-out war on the peninsula as it developed the "tailored deterrence strategy" into a military operation for mounting a preemptive attack on the north.

The decision made at the confab to boost the military cooperation and expand its sphere worldwide is aimed to back Japan's moves to scrap its Pacifist Constitution and exercise the "right to collective self-defense."

Dependence on the U.S. nuclear force aimed at intensified military strategy for offensive would never help denuclearize the Korean Peninsula but spark off arms race.
