The Kaesong Building-materials Cooperative developed a technique of making liquid fuel, black color and organic solvent from plastic waste. It localized all additives necessary for recycling.

This technique helps turn one ton of plastic waste into 400-500 kilograms of liquid fuel.

It won a gold medal at the National Inventions and New Technologies in July.
