S. Korean Authorities Slammed for Announcing System for Introducing "State-compiled" History Textbook

| Pyongyang, November 9 (KCNA) -- At least 650 retired teachers of primary, secondary and high schools in south Korea released a declaration on the situation in protest against the authorities' announcement of the system for introducing "state-compiled" history textbook on November 3. The authorities' announcement of the system, defying the people's opposition, is, in fact, little short of forcing their views on the people, the declaration said. The regime is not entitled to say anything about history but deserves judgment for what it has done, the declaration noted. It demanded the ruling forces retract at once the system, step down and apologize to the people for their crimes. |
