The application of water-saving style farming method helped reduce the area of seedbeds considerably and save more manpower, seeds and farming materials than last year.

According to data available at the Ministry of Agriculture, the introduction of scientific farming methods made it possible to save one hundred million of cubic meters of water in growing rice seedlings throughout the country and smoothly carry out the rice-transplanting in 100 000 hectares of paddy field without using five hundred millions of cubic meters of water.
