Jaroslav Kafka, chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association who doubles as chairman of the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to organize diverse political and cultural events including a remembrance meeting and seminar on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of his demise.
