Presented at the seminar were achievements and experience gained in providing healthcare to the people in the past true to the Workers' Party of Korea's public health policy.

Speakers said that many achievements were made in ensuring earlier detection and treatment of breast cancer among women through meticulous technical guidance over medical check-up of breast cancer and mastopathy.

They noted that the treatment of children's congenital heart diseases was raised to the world level and a series of operation was successfully carried out for a child who was suffering from congenital deformed ankle, thereby enabling him to walk just like others.

They said another success was that a worker who had had a serious burn on his face was recovered through years of treatment and many other patients were recovered to be able to work at their posts.

Those who had suffered from retinal diseases for years were cured through the vitreous retinal operation that requires ultra-modern technology, they noted.

They stressed the need to make positive contribution to promoting people's health and glorifying socialist health system.
