Performance of Art Groups of Women's Union across Country Given

| Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- The participants in the 2nd national meeting of active functionaries of primary organizations of the Democratic Women's Union of Korea enjoyed a performance given by art groups of women's union across the country at the People's Palace of Culture on Thursday. The performance started with chorus "Appearance of Korea" and "Joy of the People". The performers made an artistic representation of the feats performed by the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu in developing the Juche-oriented women's movement and the proud and happy appearance of the Korean women. Put on the stage were such colorful numbers as narration and song "Song of Women" and Oungum ensemble "Thanks to the Fatherly General". They expressed profound thanks to President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il for projecting the Korean women as the mistress of the revolution, the country and the society and opening up a new history of respect for women on this land. Their repertoire included such numbers as serial songs "Love of the Great Mother" and "Azalea", an immortal classic masterpiece. |
