The race was attended by nearly 100 men and women marathoners.

Hwang Chun Min, not well known among local marathon experts, came first in the men's race. He is from the Sports Team of Pyongyang University of Architecture.

Ri Kwang Ok of the Amnokgang Sports Team finished first in the women's race.

It was the first time for her to take part in the senior category.
