They brought together officials, scientists, technicians and postgraduates of Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, the State Nanotechnology Bureau, the State Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Agricultural Science, the Education Commission, the Ministry of Machine-building Industry, etc.

The presentation was divided into panels of nano theory, measurement and electricity, nano materials, tools and machinery, nano medical science, agriculture and environment.

The presentation heard more than 70 papers.

The papers reflected the latest scientific work that solved the problems in the manufacture, measurement and application of nano materials as well as the research work that proved effective in the economic production.

Participants introduced their achievements in their researches and introduction of nanotechnology.

On display at the exhibition were latest nanotechnology products of at least 70 varieties and books dealing with this field.

Workshops took place during the events.

A closing ceremony was held at the building of the State Nanotechnology Bureau on Friday.
