Pyongyang, November 14 (KCNA) -- The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism posted an article titled "Mt. Paektu and Kim Jong Il" on its website on Nov. 6. The article said: Mt. Paektu called an ancestral mountain of the Korean nation and holy mountain of the Korean revolution would be unthinkable apart from leader Kim Jong Il, eternal chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK. Kim Jong Il was born in Mt. Paektu, the base of the anti-Japanese armed struggle, on Feb. 16, 1942. At that time anti-Japanese fighters wrote on the barked trees in thick forests the letters "Oh, we herald the birth of the shining star of Mt. Paektu" and "Long live the shining star shedding brilliant rays all over country," etc. hoping to see him become a shining star of Korea by succeeding to the cause of President Kim Il Sung, sun of the nation. Entering Kim Il Sung University, he wrote a poem "O Korea, I Will Add Glory to Thee." It reflects his noble will to lead Korea to bright future with responsibility, carrying forward the intention of the President. He turned the DPRK into an invincible socialist power true to his faith and will. The article cited stories about the roaring thunder over Jong Il Peak, introducing the great personality of the peerlessly brilliant commander. It added that the august name and exploits of NDC Chairman Kim Jong Il would last forever together with sacred Mt. Paektu. |
