The farm achieved such successes as putting all its production processes on a high scientific, intensive and industrial level.

Scientists, technicians and employees of the farm and relevant units established an integral production system and built the combined control room, hatchery, open-air pond and cold storage in the farm as required by the Workers' Party of Korea's policy of manpower- and water-saving style pisciculture.

The application of natural energy also makes it possible to produce catfish in all seasons.

On the basis of such achievements, the farm doubled the production of catfish this year, saving manpower and volume of water.

When giving field guidance to the farm in October, supreme leader Kim Jong Un appraised the farm for completing its modernization by its own efforts.
