Drawing interest of the participants were application programs for Korean-style operating system, devices and elements necessary for putting production processes on a CNC and automation basis which were presented by Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, the Institute of Automation under the State Academy of Sciences, the Pyongyang Information Technology Bureau and other educational institutions and units developing programs.

Highly appreciated were the programs which contributed to putting business activities at industrial establishments on an IT basis.

Brisk exchange of IT-based products and service took place during the exhibition.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Yong Jin, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Choe Sang Gon, department director of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, Jang Chol, president of the State Academy of Sciences, and others.
