Andy Brooks, general secretary of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party of Britain, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee set the remembrance period from November 16 to December 17 and decided to give wide publicity to the exploits performed by Kim Jong Il through media and to organize political and cultural events including seminar, remembrance meeting and film show.
