Bonakele Majuba, secretary of the Mfumalanga Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of South Africa and chairman of the South African Association of Friendship and Solidarity with Korean People, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to significantly organize political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career and exploits of leader Kim Jong Il on the 4th anniversary of his demise.

A message to Marshal Kim Jong Un was adopted at the ceremony.
