Present there on invitation were Cuban Ambassador to the DPRK German Hermin Ferras Alvarez and his wife and staff members of the embassy.

Secretary Kim Yang Gon and Vice Department Director Pak Kun Gwang and other officials of the C.C., the WPK were present there.

Kim Yang Gon said in his speech that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation based on the special comradely relationship between the preceding leaders of the two countries are invariably growing stronger.

We will struggle shoulder to shoulder together with the Cuban comrades on one road of socialism and independence against imperialism and true to the behests of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the noble intention of Marshal Kim Jong Un, he added.

German Hermin Ferras Alvarez said in his speech that Cuba would as ever extend full support and encouragement to the just cause of the WPK and the Korean people for socialist construction and national reunification.

He sincerely hoped in the name of the Cuban party and government that the 7th Congress of the WPK would be an event to be specially recorded in its history.
