U.S. Moves to Form New Cold War Landscape Disclosed

Pyongyang, November 20 (KCNA) -- The U.S. decided with Japan to set up a new military coordinating mechanism for administering collective counteraction of the U.S. forces and the Japan "Self-Defence Forces" not only in "emergencies" but in peace time and it officially adopted "4D operational plan" with the south Korean authorities as part of the scenario to tighten military nexus with allies. A commentary of Rodong Sinmun Friday says: Through these actions the U.S. laid a solid groundwork for tightening the military alliance with Japan and south Korea and justifying arms buildup in Northeast Asia and the triangular military alliance involving the U.S., Japan and south Korea. The DPRK's "ballistic missile launch" touted by the U.S. and Japan is the first target of the counteraction of the new military coordinating body while China and Russia are the second and third targets, the commentary notes, and goes on: No one in the world would believe that the U.S. early warning satellites and high altitude unmanned reconnaissance planes with the mission of guaranteeing the implementation of the "4D operational plan" will only monitor the military movements of the DPRK. The U.S. and its followers are hell-bent on arms buildup, prompted by their strategic scenario to hold an unchallenged military edge over other countries in the region. The new Cold War landscape being formed by the U.S. is primarily targeted against the DPRK. Now that this has been confirmed, the DPRK will not just remain an on-looker to it. During the Cold War in the latter half of the 20th century the U.S. failed to bring down the DPRK. It is sadly mistaken if it thinks it can stifle the DPRK in the new Cold War in the 21st century. |
