Pyongyang, November 20 (KCNA) -- The Ulsan Headquarters of the Movement for Reunified Korean Nation held a press conference in Ulsan on Nov. 18 denouncing Japan's shameless demand for the removal of a statue of a girl laying bare the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, according to the south Korean internet newspaper "Thongil News". The speakers at the press conference recalled that the Japanese government set the removal of the statue in Ulsan as a precondition for settling the sexual slavery issue, far from making an apology and reflection on its past crimes at the recent talks with the south Korean authorities. They demanded the Japanese government make sincere apology and state reparation for the crimes related to the sexual slavery. A Wednesday rally for settling the issue of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army took place outside the Japanese embassy in Seoul on the same day. |
