Ruling Party's Move to Railroad "Bill on Terrorism" Opposed by S. Korean Newspaper
Pyongyang, November 20 (KCNA) -- The south Korean internet newspaper Voice of People on Nov. 19 editorially opposed the "Saenuri Party's" move to railroad the "bill on terrorism" through the "National Assembly.".

The editorial slammed the "Saenuri Party" for making desperate efforts to railroad the above-said bill through the "NA" under the pretext of a terrorist case that occurred abroad.

The bill has been criticized since it was proposed in 2001 as it called for giving the Intelligence Service the mandate to spearhead the anti-terror moves, the editorial said, and continued:

The Intelligence Service should never be given the wing of anti-terror law as it has been engrossed in illegal political interference including the red herring operation before election and the disclosure of the minutes of the north-south summit.

The representative of "Saenuri Party" shortly ago termed the all-out people's action a "terror against government power".

Once the bill passes, the authorities will quench any voice and act critical of the "government" as terrorist ones.

The "Saenuri Party"-proposed "bill on terrorism" is designed to lay a foundation for a horror politics, the editorial said, contending that the passage of bill should never be allowed as it may throw society into the constant state of martial law.
