The statues were unveiled with due ceremony on November 20.

Present at the unveiling ceremony were commanding officers of the Korean People's Army (KPA) including Pak Yong Sik and Ri Yong Gil, officials, teaching staff and cadets of the university, officials of the military academies at all levels, officers and men of the KPA and others.

Leading officials of the army and university unveiled the statues.

A floral basket in the name of supreme leader Kim Jong Un was placed before the statues.

Laid there were a floral basket in the joint name of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK National Defence Commission, floral baskets in the name of Kim Il Sung University of Politics and floral baskets in the name of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, General Staff of the KPA, KPA units and military academies at all levels, different bodies, faculties and departments of the university.

The participants paid tribute to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il before the statues.

Pak Yong Sik, minister of the People's Armed Forces, in his address called for upholding Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for all ages as the eternal leaders of the WPK and the revolution and defending, preserving and glorifying their exploits for the military education.

Being briefed on the statues, the participants went round them at the end of the ceremony.
