They branded the south Korean police authorities as a group of man-killers.

A statement read out at the rally said:

The broad popular masses raised just demands through all-out people's action against the present regime's ceaseless unpopular tyrannical rule in the wake of ferry Sewol tragedy, but the police authorities indiscriminately fired water cannons at them.

Voicing support for the all-out people's action in south Korea, the statement demanded immediate arrest and punishment of those responsible for the brutal crackdown.
