They arrived at Tanchon City, South Hamgyong Province on Nov. 13.

Thae Jong Su, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, people from all walks of life and youths and students greeted them.

Members of the relay group of young vanguard in South Hamgyong Province who took over the red flag at the top of Machon Pass sped up their march. They visited the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in Hamhung City and the statues of Kim Il Sung in Sinpho City and Pukchong County and in Hungnam District, Hamhung City, the statue of Comrade Kim Hyong Gwon in Hongwon County and mosaics depicting smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and images of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu to lay floral baskets and flowers and pay tribute to them.

They toured rooms for education in revolutionary history and production processes at the Tanchon Smeltery, the Tanchon Magnesia Factory and the Tanchon Mining Machine Factory and then had a meeting with young frontrankers in noble traits in Tanchon area.

After arriving in Hamhung City amid welcome by people including youths and students, they visited the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, the Ryongsong Machine Complex and the February 8 Vinalon Complex and warmly congratulated the workers there.

They took part in the poem-recital and song-singing gathering of youths and students in Hamhung City and went round the Hamhung Knitwear Factory, Hamhung Woolen Mill and Tongbong Cooperative Farm in Hamju County.

They also went round the historic relics such as barked trees bearing slogans associated with the revolutionary activities of Kim Il Sung and anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk who had been active in Sinhung area.

They had a bonfire meeting with youths and students in Jangjin County and evinced their pledge to work hard for the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche.

During the march they held colorful political and cultural activities.
