A. Usupbayev, chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-"Kyrgyz El" Republican Political Party who doubles as chief of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of Kyrgyzstan, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events including a remembrance meeting and seminar on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of demise of Kim Jong Il.
