With antibiosis stronger than existing ones, the newly-developed suture helps prevent infection and complication after surgical operation. It is considered to be highly applicable to heart operation in particular.

Its production has been put on an industrial basis.

The new suture was listed as an invention at the national exhibition of inventions and new technologies held to mark the 70th anniversaries of the Workers' Party of Korea and the national liberation.
