Miriam Pellegrini Ferri, president of the Group of Dialectical Materialists of Italy and chairman of the Italian Committee for the Study of Songun Idea for Independence and Sovereignty, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to conduct political and cultural activities praising the immortal revolutionary exploits of leader Kim Jong Il during the remembrance period from November 20 and December 17.
