Present there from the DPRK side were members of the military delegation led by Army General Pak Yong Sik, minister of the People's Armed Forces, the DPRK ambassador to the country and from the Lao side Minister of Defense of Laos Sengnouane Sayalat, vice-director of the General Political Bureau, vice-chief of the General Staff and other high-ranking officers.

At the talks both sides discussed the issues of boosting cooperation between the armies of the two countries.

Prior to the talks, a ceremony welcoming the DPRK military delegation was held.

The DPRK military delegation laid a wreath before the Monument to the Unknown Soldier.
