Swiss Bodies Hit Japan's Fabrication of "Ulsa Five-point Treaty"

Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- The Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea made public a joint statement on Nov. 18 in support of the memorandum released by the History Society of the DPRK in connection with the lapse of 110 years since the Japanese imperialists fabricated "Ulsa Five-point Treaty."

The statement said:

The memorandum said that the "treaty" fabricated by the Japanese imperialists on Nov. 17, 1905 was an illegal and fraudulent document as it left incurable wounds in the hearts of the Korean people by reducing Korea into Japan's colony and forcing them into disgraceful slavery.

The Japanese imperialists concocted the "treaty" by violence, terrorism, threat and blackmail in a bid to turn Korea into Japan's colony.

However, Japan is making sheer sophism that its colonial rule over Korea was "legally valid."

It should admit the illegality of the "treaty" and make apology and reparation for the crimes it committed against the Korean people.

We support the memorandum and vehemently denounce the above-said crimes of the Japanese imperialists.
