Present there were scientists, technicians, teachers and researchers of several units including the Ministry of Chemical Industry, Sunchon Chemical Complex, Pyongyang Paint Factory, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Phyongsong University of Industry and Pyongyang Natural Perfume Institute.

Presented there were dozens of papers conducive to developing and producing paint in reliance on the indigenous technology and natural resources.

Highly appreciated were papers dealing with scientific research successes made in resolving issues arising in realities and proposals which proved effective in various fields of the national economy.

Also presented there were technical products of high economic significance and efficacy.

There were lectures on the trend of development of paint industry and scientific and technological issues in raising the quality of paint and lowering production cost.
