Omar Lopez, chairman of the Venezuelan National Society for the Study of the Juche idea, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to widely introduce the sacred revolutionary career and undying feats of Kim Jong Il and organize a national meeting on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of his demise.
