Songchit Pullarp, chairman of the Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea of Thailand, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events including remembrance meeting, seminar, lecture and film show on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.
