Present there from the DPRK side were members of the military delegation led by Army General Pak Yong Sik, minister of the People's Armed Forces, the DPRK ambassador to the country and from the Vietnamese side Phung Quang Thanh, minister of Defense of Vietnam, vice-chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) and other high-ranking officers.

At the talks both sides exchanged views on the issue of boosting exchange and cooperation between the armies of the two countries and reached a consensus of views on the matters discussed.

Prior to the talks, a ceremony of welcoming the DPRK military delegation was held.

On the same day the DPRK military delegation was present on invitation at a reception hosted by Phung Quang Thanh.

The DPRK military delegation visited various places including a unit of the VPA.
