Pyongyang, December 1 (KCNA) -- The General Association of Koreans in China on Nov. 27 made public a statement lambasting the south Korean conservative forces' moves to tamper with history. The statement said: All Koreans in the north, the south and abroad can't repress their towering resentment at the south Korean conservative group's projected introduction of "state-compiled" history textbook. The south Korean authorities are seeking a sinister political motive in introducing the "state-compiled" history textbook to justify the pro-Japanese acts and "yusin" dictatorship and embellish the military coup staged by the Park Chung-hee regime. What should not be overlooked is the fact that the authorities brutally suppressed the members of the civic bodies and people from all walks of life, who staged demonstrations in protest against the above-said textbook, by hurling riot police. The General Association of Koreans in China in its statement voiced support and solidarity with the compatriots in the south in their anti-"government" action to check the introduction of above-said textbook. The General Association of Koreans in China and all the Koreans in China will turn out as one in the struggle to frustrate the south Korean authorities' politically motivated moves for introducing "state-compiled" textbook, declared the statement. |
