The DPRK players won 4 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 5 bronze medals in the championship.

They were greeted at Pyongyang Railway Station by Kim Yong Jin, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yong Hun, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, Choe Yong Nam, director of the General Bureau of Public Service who is chairman of the Weightlifting Association, officials concerned and their families.

Sportspersons presented garlands and bouquets to the players and coaches.

There took place a press conference with players and coaches who took part in the championship at the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium.
