Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- Remembrance meetings took place in the Czech Republic and Italy on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il on Nov. 28 and 29. Iri Vabr, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party, said in his speech that Kim Jong Il was a model of world revolutionaries. He went on: Kim Jong Il comprehensively developed in depth the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and defended and strengthened socialist Korea, holding higher the banner of Songun in the light of the extreme moves of the imperialist allied forces to stifle the DPRK at the end of the last century. What should be emphasized among his exploits were the feats he performed for the cause of national reunification, he added. Miriam Pellegrini Ferri, president of the Group of Dialectical Materialists of Italy and chairman of the Italian Committee for the Study of Songun Idea for Independence and Sovereignty, said that Kim Jong Il, born in the secret camp in Mt. Paektu during the arduous anti-Japanese armed struggle, grew up to be a great revolutionary. He went on: Kim Jong Il thoroughly applied the Juche idea to the revolution and construction. He was the outstanding leader who performed immortal exploits for defending the sovereignty of the country and achieving national reunification and the global cause of independence. The DPRK is shedding its brilliant rays as a bulwark for accomplishing the global cause of socialism. This would be unthinkable without his exploits. It is my hope that the people of the DPRK will greet the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea with bigger successes for building a thriving nation. |
