S. Korean Reverends Denounce Authorities' Violent Suppression of All-out People's Action
Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- 164 reverends in Taejon City, Sejong City and in the areas of South Chungchong Province held a press conference on Dec. 3 at which they released a declaration on the situation denouncing the authorities for violently putting down the November 14 all-out people's action, according to Thongil News, south Korean internet newspaper.

The declaration accused the present "regime" of pressing for the introduction of "state-compiled" history textbook despite public opposition.

They blasted the chief executive for her reckless demeanor labeling the protesters against the introduction of the textbook as "enemies," branding their acts as "terrorism" and declaring a war against them.

The purpose of the "state-compiled" textbook is to embellish "yusin" dictatorship and make the conservative "regime" permanently stay in power, they held.

They urged the chief executive to own responsibility for suppressing the people and call on Paek Nam Gi's family to make an apology and demanded the police agency chief step down.

They will work hard to ensure without fail that the second all-out people's action is staged by the workers and peasants subject to pain due to the incompetent "regime," stressed the declaration.
