Chong Ching Chee, managing director of the Tombo Enterprise Company, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events such as lecture, photo exhibition and film show to praise the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il in the period between December 1 and 20.
