The palace has turned into a modern comprehensive extracurricular education center for school youth and children and a pedigree establishment for training talents. It has best conditions for education and accommodation including science and art buildings, theater, gymnasium, swimming pool and dormitory.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok and Ro Tu Chol, Ri Il Hwan, department director of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, schoolchildren in the city and members of the Korean schoolchildren's art troupe in Japan.

Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the C.C., the youth league, made an inaugural speech.

He said that the palace has been remodeled thanks to the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un who is translating into reality the noble outlook of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il on the rising generation.

He recalled that Kim Jong Un unrolled a plan to remodel the palace, which was built under the loving care of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, as required by the new century and energetically led the whole course of remodeling project.

It is the steadfast will and determination of our party to bring up the younger generation to be reliable successors to the Juche revolutionary cause and achieve the eternal prosperity of Kim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's Korea.

Rosy future is always in store for the thriving DPRK when its service personnel and people remain loyal to Kim Jong Un who dedicates himself to the rising generation, saying that when they hear the cheerful laughter of the children, the whole country looks happy.

The speaker called for waging a dynamic drive for realizing the beautiful dream and ideal of the people and carving out the bright future of the great Paektusan nation, rallied close around Kim Jong Un.

Army and social officials let the inaugural tape stretch and schoolchildren cut off the tape.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants looked round various places of the palace.
