The secretary general of the Group for the Study of the Progressive Ideas of South Africa referred to the fact that Kim Jong Il, born in Mt. Paektu, the sacred mountain of the revolution, firmly protected the socialist country from provocations by all hostile forces and opened the new era for independent reunification.

He said that the august name and exploits of Kim Jong Il, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, would always be remembered along with Mt. Paektu.
