The bulletin in an article titled "4th anniversary of demise of the great Comrade Kim Jong Il" said:

Leader Kim Jong Il passed away on the road of field guidance to our regret on December 17, 2011.

He visited every nook and corner of the DPRK almost everyday to meet the people and learned their difficulties, wishes and dream more than any others.

We will remember his august name forever as he performed great exploits for the country, the people and global independence.

He unrolled a far-reaching plan for building a thriving nation in such a difficult period and brought about historic changes.

He also provided the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 Declaration to make a breakthrough for improving the inter-Korean relations.

His feats are that he frustrated the moves of the imperialist allied forces getting frantic day by day after the collapse of socialism in different countries, defended socialism of the DPRK and provided a turning phase for building a thriving nation.
