DPRK People Strives to Greet 7th WPK Congress with Labor Achievements

Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- All the people in the DPRK have turned out in a drive for signal progress in the national economy to significantly adorn the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, which will be convened early in May 2016. A great upswing is now witnessed in agriculture, fishery and light industry, coal, power, metal and all other industries. Kim Myong Yon, chief of the Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm in Sadong District, Pyongyang, told KCNA: The agricultural workers of my farm are filled with the strong will to bring a great progress in the greenhouse vegetable production through introduction of advanced cultivation methods. Such enthusiasm will produce good results in greenhouse vegetable farming next year that will see the 7th WPK Congress in May, I dare say. Meanwhile, fishermen across the country make steady advance in fishing. The North Phyongan Provincial Fishery Management Bureau in particular has already carried out its annual production assignment for this year. In hearty response to an appeal made by the employees of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, all the metal industrial workers, too, turned out in a drive for increased production through putting their units on a higher-level modern and scientific basis. According to An Tok Chan, vice-minister of the Ministry of Chemical Industry, a vigorous work was launched at the chemical industrial establishments to push ahead with the modernization and localization of the chemical industry and remarkably raise the output of fertilizer and chemical products. Such strong enthusiasm and will to greet the 7th WPK Congress, to be convened in May 2016, with great achievements can be felt everywhere in the country. |
