Senior Party, State Officials Pay Homage to Kim Jong Il

Pyongyang, December 17 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju and other senior party and state officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, members of the party central leadership organ in Pyongyang and officials of party and power organs, the Cabinet, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on Thursday, the nation's greatest memorial day.

Seen standing before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il was a floral basket in the name of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also seen there was a floral basket in the name of the Korean People's Army.

Placed there was a floral basket in the joint name of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Cabinet.

The participants paid tribute to the statues of the great leaders.

At the immortality hall where Kim Jong Il lies in state they made bows to him.

They went round the hall where orders Kim Jong Il received are on display and halls which house a car, electric car, boat and train coach used by him during his field guidance and foreign tours till the last moments of his life.

On the same day servicepersons and people of all social strata visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun to pay homage to Kim Jong Il.
