At dawn of Thursday citizens from different walks of life were seen visiting the Mansu Hill in Pyongyang to pay floral tributes to the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il with their deep yearning.

Such scenes were also observed in other parts of the country where the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are standing.

Over the past four years since the demise of Kim Jong Il, the Korean people have worked hard to implement his behests, overcoming their bitter grief and sorrow.

Kim Kyong Suk, a staff of the Kwangbok Area Supermarket, told KCNA with tears in her eyes:

Though he was in bad health condition, leader Kim Jong Il visited the supermarket on December 15, 2011, two days before his demise. And he was very pleased to see every counter filled with goods, saying citizens would like them.

We will always remember the great life of the leader who devoted his all only to the wellbeing and happiness of the people, making a ceaseless journey of field guidance despite weather conditions.

O Phil Sun, a saleswoman of Pyongyang Department Store No. 1, said:

Still fresh in my memory is a smiling image of the leader when he visited the department store in hot weather to see a commodity exhibition.

He had worked heart and soul for the improvement of the people's living standard, finding his pleasure in the people's happiness.

Choe Song Guk, section chief of the Hana Musical Information Centre, said:

He had continued his journey of field guidance for the people's better life until the last moments of his life.

Despite the biting weather on Dec. 15, 2011, he visited the center to provide the citizens with better cultural living conditions, seeing to it that people could use the music pieces personally collected by him.

True to his lifetime intention, we will produce much more products popular among the people.
