Kim Jong Il's Exploits Lauded by Swiss Organizations

| Pyongyang, December 21 (KCNA) -- The Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea issued a joint statement on Dec. 12 on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army. The statement said: Entering the 1990s the U.S. imperialists and their followers got more frantic in their moves to stifle socialist Korea. Generalissimo Kim Jong Il pursued the original Songun politics guided by the Songun idea founded by President Kim Il Sung. The DPRK has further strengthened and proudly ranked itself among satellite manufacturing and launching states and nuclear weapons states thanks to his Songun politics. Kim Jong Il provided two north-south summits and made sure that the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration, its practical programme, were adopted to realize the historic cause of national reunification. He opened up the road for the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea and successfully applied the three charters for national reunification advanced by Kim Il Sung. |
