Sazhi Umalatova, chairwoman of the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia, praised Kim Jong Il as the father of the people as he regarded it as his motto to believe in the people as in Heaven and devoted his life to the people.

Ivan Shashbiashbili, vice-chairman of the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia, said Kim Jong Il showed in practice what an important role an outstanding state leader plays in the present time.

The vice-chairman noted Kim Jong Il bolstered up the national military capabilities as the supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, adding this was his great exploit.

Sh. Shabdolov, chairman of the Communist Party of Tajikistan, noted Kim Jong Il devoted his whole life to defending the independent dignity of the country and bringing happiness to the Korean people.
