An inaugural ceremony of the Forum of Politics for Democracy and Reunification took place in Seoul on Dec. 20, involving people of various strata like intellectuals, religionists, students including those from over 150 organizations and civic and public circles.

Speakers said that the forum is aimed to found a new political party for progress with the people's seizure of power and realization of democracy as its mission and also to conduct activities to halt the revival of "yusin" dictatorship, secure the right to existence, exterminate pro-Japanese elements, pursue national reconciliation and achieve peaceful reunification, integration and solidarity.
