Tourism Not Withered This Year: SGBT official
Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- The number of foreign tourists has been on the steady increase this year despite of unfavorable conditions, said Hong In Chol, a department director of the State General Bureau of Tourism (SGBT).

Tourism was frozen till mid-March by the governmental measure for quarantining the infection ways of Ebola, he said, and continued:

In August, the situation was aggravated on the Korean Peninsula due to the reckless military provocations of the hostile forces, but foreign tourists were not hindered in their entry into the DPRK.

Among them were tourists from different countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Germany, Russia, Switzerland, France, Finland, UK and Spain.

Tourists spent pleasant days during their tour of Pyongyang, Kaesong, Mts. Paektu, Myohyang and Kumgang and other well-known areas of the country.

The immigration has also been simplified to fully meet the requirements of foreigners.
