Hyon Myong and Ri Ji Ryon of the team came first in men's 500m, 1 000m and women's 1 000m events.

The team putting the main stress on winter sports events has proven successful in international and national tournaments in recent years.

Its players won a lot of medals, including golds, in the ISU World Development Trophy Short-track Speed Skating Tournament and the Asian Cup Figure Skating Tournament.

This year the team bagged many gold medals in ice hokey, figure skating, short-track speed skating events of the DPRK Championships.
