Present at the meeting were Hwang Pyong So, Pak Yong Sik and other commanding officers of the KPA, officials of fisheries under the KPA, exemplary captains and fishermen under the KPA.

A letter of thanks of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea was conveyed to the officials and employees in the fisheries under the KPA.

The letter of thanks referred to the fact that the KPA hit the goal of hauling more than 50,000 tons of fishes through an intensive winter fishing campaign and registered spectacular successes in fish hauls, one of the famous sceneries of Songun era in the East Sea of Korea. This is ascribable to the loyalty and heroic devotion of the fishermen under the KPA who are determined to carry out the order of the Supreme Commander to land the projected quantities of fishes under whatever unfavorable conditions, the letter noted, and went on:

This shining success made in the fishing operations in the East Sea is another auspicious event that demonstrates the might of the powerful Paektusan revolutionary army true to the leadership of the great party and the national power of the country which brings earlier rosy future with dynamism.

The officials and employees in the fisheries under the KPA are the heroes and passionate patriots devotedly supporting the Party Central Committee and their signal labor feats will record a new shining page in the history of the Korean people's revolutionary struggle and the country.

Army General Pak Yong Sik, minister of the People's Armed Forces, in a report called for deeply trusting and following Marshal Kim Jong Un with intense loyalty and pure conscience and sense of obligation even in any storm and stress and devotedly supporting the Party Central Committee headed by Kim Jong Un with more spectacular successes in fishing operations.

He underscored the need to work harder to make a huge fish haul next year which will greet the 7th Congress of the WPK by courageously weathering out stormy waves in the spirit of the blizzards of Paektu under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.
