Present there were the chiefs and members of the German National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, the German Group for the Study of Works of Comrade Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il, the Hannover Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Franken Group for the Study of the Juche Idea under the national committee. Officials of the DPRK mission in Germany were present there on invitation.

The participants laid a floral basket before the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and paid tribute to them.

Torsten Schoevitz, chairman of the national committee who doubles as chief of the German Group for the Study of Works of Comrade Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il, and other speakers said that Kim Jong Il defended socialism with his unique Songun politics and gave field guidance all his life to build a socialist paradise on the land of the DPRK admired by the world.

They said that he published works such as "Socialism Is a Science" in the closing years of the last century when the socialist movement faced grave difficulties due to moves of the imperialist allied forces and thus indicated the road to be followed by the progressives and led the socialist cause to victory.

They noted that he achieved the invincible single-minded unity of the leader, party and masses more powerful than nuclear weapons and turned the DPRK into a matchless power and socialist fortress.
