In the message the Lao president expressed, on behalf of the LPRP Central Committee, the government and people of Laos and on his own behalf, deep thanks to Kim Jong Un for sending warmest congratulations and wishes to the LPRP, the government and people of Laos and himself on the occasion of the 40th founding anniversary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR).

The message expressed the belief that the traditional and excellent relations of friendship and cooperation between the LPDR and the DPRK would steadily develop in line with the wishes of the peoples of the two countries, bring substantial interests to the two peoples and make contribution to the regional and global peace and the development of friendly and cooperative relations.

It wished Kim Jong Un good health and happiness and great success in his lofty work.
