Rallies, Seminars, Book, Photo and Handcraft Exhibitions Held Abroad
Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- Rallies, seminars and book, photo and handicraft exhibitions took place between Dec. 9 and 25 last year on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army (KPA), the 4th anniversary of Marshal Kim Jong Un's assumption of the supreme commandership of the KPA and the 98th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.

On display at the venues of the events were photos showing revolutionary exploits of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un.

Also on show were their works, and books and photos introducing the army and people of the DPRK and handicrafts associated with the creative talents of the Korean people.

Present there were figures of government, political parties, organizations and institutions of relevant countries and other people.

C. P. Mainali, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) who is also deputy prime minister and minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare, and other speakers said Kim Jong Il was an outstanding leader of the world socialist cause, a political elder who made undying contributions to the cause of independence against imperialism and the father of the Korean nation who opened a bright future of Korea's reunification.

Kim Jong Suk, who took part in the anti-Japanese war led by Kim Il Sung and made extraordinary contributions to the cause of Korea's liberation, is still praised as anti-Japanese war hero and mother of Korea, the speakers said.

A. Usupbayev, chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-"Kyrgyz El" Republican Political Party of Kyrgyzstan, said that under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il the DPRK has become a nuclear weapons state and a military power even though it is small in territory.

A message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at an event in Nepal.
